Comis Orthopaedics

Comis Orthopaedics is a leading innovator in hip resurfacing and product design, instrumentation and manufacture. They offer specialist surgical procedures for Minimally Invasive Surgery in the field of Total Hip Arthoplasty and Hip Resurfacing.

Formed in January 2006 specifically to introduce this new product range to surgeons, and to support them by providing both seminar and theatre based training in the application of this significant advancement in minimally invasive hip resurfacing surgical products and procedures.

The surgical experience behind the Comis products and procedures, and the main principle behind Comis' breakthrough, has been to dramatically minimise the previously cumbersome and forceful attributes of some of the retractor systems in common use for the preparation of the acetabulum and femur, and for the physical implantation of prosthesis and for hip resurfacing.

CE approval has been achieved on the complete range of implants along with the full range of instrumentation. Manufacturing and quality systems are fully accredited to the level of BS13485 2003.
